Deep groove ball bearings are one of the common rolling bearings in the industrial field, favored for their simple structure, strong load-bearing capacity, and wide application. However, during the long-term working process, dust, moisture, and impurities may enter the rolling elements and raceways inside the bearings, which can have a serious impact on the normal operation of the bearings. Therefore, in order to protect the bearings from external environmental intrusion and maintain their good working condition, bearing sealing is an indispensable link.

The sealing forms of deep groove ball bearings are diverse, including but not limited to rubber sealing, plastic sealing, metal sealing, and composite material sealing. Different sealing forms are suitable for different working environments and requirements. The following will introduce the characteristics of these sealing forms and the factors to be considered when selecting them.

Rubber sealing: Rubber sealing is widely used due to its low cost, ease of installation, and wide application range. However, rubber sealing has poor heat resistance and is prone to aging in high-temperature environments. It is also sensitive to moisture and cannot be exposed to humidity for a long time. Therefore, rubber sealing is more suitable for working environments with low temperatures and low humidity.

Plastic sealing: Plastic sealing has good heat resistance, wear resistance, and sealing performance, suitable for high temperature and high humidity working environments. Plastic sealing is usually divided into hard plastic sealing and soft plastic sealing. Hard plastic sealing is mainly used in situations requiring high precision sealing, while soft plastic sealing is suitable for various complex working conditions due to its good adaptability and plasticity.

Metal sealing: Metal sealing has good corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, and sealing performance, which can effectively prevent dust, moisture, and impurities from entering the internal part of the bearing. Metal sealing is mainly divided into metal cage oil seals and metal ring seals. Metal cage oil seals are suitable for high-speed and high-precision applications, while metal ring seals are suitable for situations requiring frequent disassembly and assembly.

Composite material sealing: Composite material sealing combines the advantages of metal and rubber, with good wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and sealing performance. It can work under high temperature conditions and maintain good sealing performance under low temperature conditions. This sealing form is suitable for situations with high requirements for sealing performance.

When choosing the sealing form for deep groove ball bearings, it is necessary to consider various factors such as the specific working environment, load conditions, rotational speed, and maintenance convenience. For example, in situations requiring frequent disassembly and assembly, metal ring sealing may be more suitable; while in high temperature and high humidity environments, rubber or plastic sealing may be more applicable. In addition, the durability and maintenance cost of the sealing material should also be considered to ensure the long-term stable operation of the bearings.

In summary, there are various sealing forms for deep groove ball bearings, and choosing the appropriate sealing form is crucial for ensuring the normal operation of the bearings. In practical applications, the most suitable sealing form should be selected according to specific needs and technical conditions to achieve the best sealing effect.
